Chalky Cliffs

The White Cliffs of Dover -- 'Chalky Cliffs' in the words of Shakespeare in Comedy of Errors -- were beyond impressive. Look closely at the closeup, noticing how the lighthouse seems to be standing on a thin carpet of greenery laid atop this chalky substance. It looks to be so thin that it could blow away or be easily scraped up.
Our last look at the British Isles for this first visit was geographically about the most astounding and I certainly hope to see it again. The cruise ship steamed off toward Copenhagen, and we will visit there on the next post.

Feel free to let me know what you think. It is exciting to think that some of my photography might be enjoyed by others.
