Two more images from the frozen tundra of Christmas-time in Minnesota. The farm buildings nestled into the stand of frosty trees really shows the area at its prettiest. The image of the tree alone on a ridge would therefore be the area at its loneliest.

Suddenly Out of Context

Our look at photos from a trip to Minnesota less than a week ago continues with these silvery trees, now suddenly out of context to a Chicago area man who saw the entire winter snow collection melt into nothing in 36 hours at the end of 2010.

Winter Wonderland

A short trip into Minnesota to deliver some Christmas presents to Mom allowed my camera a look at some true Winter Wonderland scenics. At home in Illinois and all along the Interstate through Wisconsin, the ground was covered with snow but the tree branches were stark and naked against the sky. Only in Minnesota did we find the tress arrayed in full-branch frosting. We will look at a few of these scenes in the next few posts. Warm clothes are a good suggestion for you!
